For visitors to Malaga, a convenient and scenic away to visit Ronda in Andalusia is by bus or train. Bus routes wind through the Sierra Bermeja and Serranía de Ronda mountain ranges, passing through whitewashed Spanish villages, providing an insight into village life. Two bus companies travel to Ronda from Malaga, Los Amarrilos, tel 952 363 024, and Portillo, tel 952 360 191. Buses from both companies leave from Malaga Bus Station, Paseo de los Tilos, next to the train station.
Los Amarillos buses head directly inland from Malaga, cost approximately 11 Euros and take approximately 1.5-2 hours to reach Ronda. Portillo buses travel along the coast to San Pedro de Alcantara before turning inland for Ronda, taking approximately 2 hours 45 minutes to reach Ronda. Cost is approximately 10 Euros.
